Hooray Stage 1
I was in the Town Hall today doing my surgery and got the opportunity to speak with Salvadore. I asked him if he could let me have a copy of the plan with the house numbers on and he agreed to give me the first part of it which covers the area around the Pool bar in La Alfoquia. It took ages trying to copy the right bits from the plan as it was huge. So we now have that details and we will have to communicate the numbers to the occupants and obtain details for each occupant and whether owners or tenants, in order that the Town Hall can update their computers. I will discuss this with Mike Foulkes (La Alfoquia postman!) to identify the best way to role this out, in that area. I was told that he, Salvadore, would have the rest ready to copy within a week or two. I will hold him to that. At least we are making a start.

Let's get the usual out of the way first.
The answer you gave, regarding when the road would be constructed, was not entirely reassuring and personally, I thing this whole tawdry episode has dragged on long enough, as we are now approaching six years without the infrastructure in place!
Also, the fact that you are unable to tell me precisely, what work will be undertaken, gives more cause for concern.
To properly complete the infrastructure, not only requires the construction of the road but also, the provision of street lighting and the connection of mains drainage!
With regard to the mains drainage, two of my neighbours, now find that their septic tanks no longer work properly and to all intents and purposes, have become nothing more than cess pits, that require regular emptying at a cost of €200 each time!
That is clearly not acceptable, particularly as their and our properties were supposed to have that drainage in place.
Of course, I'm fully aware from previous correspondence, that all the construction of the infrastructure should have been the responsibility of the builders and that the Town Hall failed, when issuing the licences, to ensure the builders were aware of this.
And I'm aware that the Town Hall accepts the responsibility for the provision of the missing infrastructure; and I'm further aware that the Town Hall has no money, although money was found for the animal park, now derelict and for the paddle tennis court and other frivolous schemes!
How much longer must we wait, for the things we should have had, nearly six years ago!?!
Something slightly more mundane.
Is Avenida Palaces the responsibility of Zurgena Town Hall?
If it is and I'm sure it is; could someone find some tarmac, to fill in the potholes?
I did ask before but, received no reply.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Ted
