Todays developments

Following on from the previous blog the following appears to have been the sequence of events today;

9.0am 8 Guradia Civil officers including 2 in plain clothes attended at the Town Hall with a court order from the criminal court in Huercal Overa and seized the computers of the secretary and the Deputy Mayor. They closed the Town Hall to everyone and also I belive searched for other documents though at this stage I do not know what. They have already been given every piece of documentation regarding building licences that they had asked forearlier this year.

Shortly after this time two Guardia Civil officers attended at the homes of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Neither was arrested but both were asked to attend at the Guarderia to 'Declare'. I do not yet know what this entails and am trying to find out. I suspect it may be something like promising to remain available whilst these enquiries are ongoing.

Also later the same morning a group of Guardia officers attended at the offices of New Horizons builders in Carasoles and spent some hours there.

I was told that some of the members of the council suspected some sort of action like this as things had been so quiet since the general election andf they also felt that there was some time constraints on the actions that could be taken against the Town Hall and this has precipitated the action.

I know no more than that but as soon as I do I will post further. I will be trying to find out more tomorrow.
